Veteran Sands Cove could figure in a race and Torrent Des Mottes is something of a course specialist who may have been laid out for this but John Cornwall’s 10-year-old was well behind JOLY MAKER here in the spring. He is 16lb better off but may still struggle to turn the tables, though the top weight can flatter to deceive. Rostello is not improving but Passing Secrets is likely to take a step forward from his second at Plumpton.
