Verdict
Good Thyne Johnny looks head and shoulders above the rest and is the one to beat in the opener, with Irish Blessing and Eviyrn best of the rest. This will not take a great deal of winning and the Jenny Candlish-trained Good Thyne Johnny should be capable of adding to his recent Uttoxeter success, He simply galloped his rivals into the ground that day, showing in the process that he was over the burst blood vessel that had hindered his chances at Wetherby earlier. He still looks well treated on form of old and it is hard to see him not following up. Any money in the ring for Irish Blessing would be interesting but he does have a 71-day absence to overcome, while Eviyrn, sixth in non-selling company at Towcester last month, makes slightly more appeal than Katy The Duck whose yard have been in form lately. Good Thyne Johnny should make them all go though.
