Verdict
Elkstone is back on the same mark as when successful in this 12 months ago but broke a blood vessel when third at Southwell last month. Mine's A Pint is proving a better chaser than hurdler but he was well beaten last year when last racing off a mark this high. ABSOLUTE JAFFA (NAP) put in a superb round of jumping at Uttoxeter on Friday to follow up his victory at Sedgefield and can defy a penalty to complete the hat-trick if in the same mood here as he holds Mistercobar on collateral form. General Bux could grab a place if fully wound-up but Cosmic King has much to prove at present and Thibault may be in need of a confidence-booster.
