        Verdict

        Bob Baffert has won three of the last six renewals and runs three this time. Improbable has notched up a hat-trick of Grade 1 victories this year and easily beat stablemate Maximum Security at Santa Anita last time. The third Baffert representative, Authentic, came up short in the Preakness last time having won the Kentucky Derby in September when TIZ THE LAW was second. The latter was coming off a big win at Saratoga when beaten in the Derby but has been rested for this and Barclay Tagg’s multiple Grade 1 winner should be right back to his best today. Tom's D'Etat stumbled leaving the stalls when third behind Improbable and By My Standards last time while Global Campaign beat Tacitus in a Grade 1 at Saratoga but last year’s third Higher Power and Title Ready have plenty to find.
