Verdict

A wide draw has not done CAVORTING any favours but she found herself five-wide entering the homestretch at Saratoga in August and still found enough to win a Grade 1 contest over today's distance. The progressive three-year-old has won a Grade 2 subsequently and may prove too good for these. Stonetastic has run her best races so far over shorter trips and disappointed in last year's renewal won by Judy The Beauty. Frankie takes over the reins on the latter though she's found three of the opposition too good this year including La Verdad. Linda Rice's mare has solid claims having also beaten Wavell Avenue and Dame Dorothy in the process of winning six straight - though none at the highest level. The Coolmore-owned Taris looks to have been laid out for this and could go well having won a Grade 2 over track and trip last year by nine lengths.
