In depth

Verdict

A cavalry charge over hurdles and Little Bob is chanced to minimum stakes against Lutea and Make A Mark. The selection has less miles on the clock than most and whilst he has not quite home over two miles on genuinely soft ground in the past, the fact that punters have been happy to keep following him in suggests that he may be keeping something in reserve. With good-to-soft obtaining on Monday, the change in going might just work the oracle. Lutea returns after a substantial absence from the track. Timmy Murphy's presence has to be viewed as a distinct positive. Make A Mark is bred to stay trips but does not lack for finishing speed. His maiden will not be long in being broken. Boris The Spider ran much better than his latest finishing position suggests and is likely to be plugging on come the finish. Clueless has lived up to his name since switching to hurdling and is now one to be wary of. Cheer Us On had shown glimpses of ability in the past and is watched in the market. A comment that equally applies to ex- David Wachman runner, Dalucci. The handicapper appears to have ensured that Wally Wonder has become a victim of his own success. Planters Punch is capable of much more than his last outing suggests. The hardest race on the card to sort out and Little Bob rates as only a token selection.
