Verdict
Big River and Nuts Well are both course specialists but it’s asking a lot of the former, now 12, to win at this level for the first time and the latter was pulled up racing over this trip at Doncaster in January in the race won by Windsor Avenue. DINGO DOLLAR (NAP) finished behind almost eight lengths behind Big River over 3m2f here in the autumn but is 16lb better off. This is his time of year and he could be a bit of value today with Itchy Feet, who is an infrequent winner, better over shorter trips and stamina concerns also surrounding Espoir De Romay, who has 9lb in hand over his rivals on official ratings. Hill Sixteen stays well but looks to be Sandy Thomson’s second string.
