Verdict
This does not look to be the strongest of races and a chance is taken with York Rite, who gets the verdict over Bodfari Signet and Old Nosey. The last mentioned has been a model of consistency this year until running below par at Worcester last month and is probably best watched today. Bodfari Signet showed improved form at Perth last time and has to be respected on that evidence but we just prefer to side with York Rite. Admittedly Richard Guest's gelding has disappointed in his last two starts but is better treated now as a result and his stable remains in top form. The likes of Plenty Courage, Tobesure and San Dimas all have an absence to overcome and are difficult to recommend with any confidence, while Johnston's Art seems too high in the weights at present so we take a chance with York Rite.
