Verdict
Ballinclay King can beat Lord Jack, with Majed and Gatorade making for an interesting contest. Ballinclay King bounced back to form with a win over the course and distance recently, given a peach of a ride by Brian Harding, who went asleep on him all the ay round before unleashing him on the run-in to beat Interdit by a neck. This horse was very, very useful as a novice but lost his form last year. However that has resulted in him being a well handicapped horse at present, and with the stable sending out plenty of winners, he should go close. Lord Jack is back over fences again but will need more rain to be at his best. Majed will set the pace as he did at Wincanton, but has more to do, while Gatorade has no more improvement at the age of 12. If Ballinclay King is anywhere near his best, he will take the beating though and is the one to be on.
