In depth
Verdict
This should concern the top three on the card, with all having shown a level of form better level of form to date than the rest. Of the trio Gastornis has plenty of scope for improvement, having run well in bumpers before landing a maiden on his hurdling debut at Wetherby last time. Mick Easterby's gelding will like the ground and is expected to go well. Jupiter De Bussy looks a real chaser in the making and will also appreciate the return to a sound surface after being pulled up in testing ground at Sandown last time. He could be capable of giving away 6lb and more to his rivals, but preference here is for Tribal Dispute. Tim Easterby's gelding has been pretty consistent of late, won't mind the ground and either of his two recent seconds would give him a big chance in this one, so he gets the vote. Good Time Bobby looks best of the remainder.
