In depth
Verdict
An ordinary looking hunter chase that can be taken by Pharmistice. The gelding is a Prolific point winner who beat Aintree Foxhunters winner Divet Hill over course and distance in May of last year. Though he has yet to hit winning form in points this year he put up a creditable effort behind Ballisteros last time and he gets the vote here. Fornaught Alliance is another with claims after running well enough at Sedgefield on his penultimate start and then landing a point on fast ground last time. He can make the frame. Another with frame claims is Geordies Express. A course and distance winner on this card last year, he was unlucky in unseating last time and can go well with a clear round. Of the remainder, former Venetia Williams inmate Donallach Mor makes most appeal, though his jumping can often be his Achilles heel.
