Verdict
Martiloo is still 10lb higher than when scoring at Perth last summer but ran above expectations when third at Musselburgh in February, though his cause was helped by the fall of two of the market leaders. Vengeur De Guye beat Halcyon Days and Craiganboy off a 5lb higher mark at Ayr back in October but has not reproduced that form since. CARALINE was the middle part of a Micky Hammond 1-2-3 in a similar contest at Wetherby nine days ago. She’s gone up a couple of pounds since but is a consistent mare who seems sure to run her race again. Oak Vintage has won three times this season, including once over course and distance, and holds Charlie Snow Angel on the form book.
