In depth

Verdict

It took a while for the penny to drop with WELSH BARD but he absolutely bolted up over this trip in first-time blinkers at Sedgefield and should take all the beating here if the headgear works a second time. Pudsey House beat a subsequent winner over course and distance last month and looks the danger as Glasson Lad keeps finding one too good yet gets no respite from the handicapper. Ayr winner A Southside Boy could play a part while Kauto Alcazar should do better in time.
