In depth

Verdict

BORDER VICTOR makes considerable appeal at the weights but the course and distance winner, normally most consistent, was lethargic when unplaced at Wetherby last time and therefore there have to be slight concerns about him here. Nevertheless, he's returned to action within 27 days which indicates all is well and Twiston-Davies is a rare booking for Barry Murtagh. Benny's Secret also has a course and distance success to his name and enjoys an excellent overall record at this track. He is up another 7lb for his latest battling course win but still harbours strong claims off joint top weight. Quite a few of the rest look to have decent place claims with Buckled, yet another course and distance winner, and Emerald Chieftan making most each-way appeal.
