In depth

Two For Gold is penalised for making a winning start over fences at Carlisle and has a bit to find on these terms with AYE RIGHT on form over hurdles. Harriet Graham’s charge has won five times over timber from only 12 attempts and also has the beating of Coole Hall at the weights if proving as effective over the larger obstacles. The latter will be sharper for a recent comeback run at Wetherby while Cairnshill unseated last time but has placed over fences on more than one occasion and is preferred to Ard Chros and Gipsy Lee Rose.

Two For Gold (IRE) 11-4fav (11-5) Led, headed after 3rd, chased leader, led 3 out, ridden and clear before last, won at Carlisle 2m 4f hcp (3) sft in Nov beating I'm To Blame (11-8) by 1 1/2l, 10 ran.

Ard Chros (IRE) 8-1 (11-2) Raced keenly, tracked winner, not fluent 4th and 6th, lost 2nd 10th, 2nd again after 15th, every chance when blundered badly 4 out, pulled up after next, at Wetherby 3m hcp (4) sft in Nov.

Cairnshill (IRE) 50-1 (10-11) Held up behind, headway and in touch on outside 10th, disputing 4th when blundered and unseated rider 3 out, at Newcastle 2m 7f hcp (3) hvy in Nov.

Coole Hall (IRE) 20-1 (11-4) Chased winner, pushed along before 4 out, ridden before 2 out, lost 2nd before the last, stayed on same pace in 3rd, 3rd of 5, 12l behind Sam Spinner (11-10) at Wetherby 3m (4) gs in Nov.

Gipsy Lee Rose (FR) 9-2 (11-10) Led narrowly, joined 4 out, slight mistake 3 out, soon headed and weakened, 6th of 7, 29 3/4l behind Mutadaffeq (11-0) at Cork 2m 3f Good - Yielding in May.
