In depth

Verdict

Rubberdubber overcame a long absence when landing what had looked to be a competitive handicap at Newbury last month and is taken to defy his 10lb rise and score at the main expense of Undeniable and Classic Capers. The last mentioned looked potentially useful at Doncaster in December but disappointed at Fakenham subsequently and may be best watched now. Recent course winner Interdit may not appreciate the drop back in trip, while Moor Spirit steps up in trip having won here over two miles last time. The lightly raced King Barry is less exposed than any of his rivals, while Miss Mattie Ross is probably a shade high in the weights at present and is strictly held by Interdit on running last time. The consistent Reivers Moon is another worthy of a mention although a bigger threat is likely to come from Sue Smith's Undeniable, who has been running with great consistency of late. Rubberdubber was good value for his win at Newbury last time though and is taken to follow up.
