In depth

Verdict

One Sniff, Arctic Echo and Blue Buster look the three to concentrate on in this competitive opener and the vote is given to One Sniff. The selection was a good second behind Denman when last seen. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and as he is very lightly raced he looks sure to improve and will be hard to beat. Arctic Echo rates the main danger on his latest second behind Water Taxi but he has already given the impression he would be seen to better effect over a longer trip and for that reason he is opposed. Blue Buster was a fair sort in bumpers but he has not progressed as expected over hurdles. However this longer trip could suit and he should be monitored in the market. Supreme's Legacy is game and consistent and is sure to run her race but she looks vulnerable under her penalty. Of the remainder, Dinnie Flanagan is held in high regard and is sure to have learnt from his debut effort and could run well at a price but the suspicion is he may be seen to better effect once handicapped, and with this in mind for the winner we return to One Sniff who sets a fair standard.
