Verdict

After winning at Huntingdon, CLONDAW CASTLE (NAP) ran a fair race under a penalty at Doncaster. He was giving a useful winner 13lb and the second has gone one better since so the form has a solid look about it. Some Reign also has 6lb extra but he’s disappointed since getting off the mark in a maiden over course and distance in October and looks to have his fair share of temperament. He was also well behind the selection in a bumper at Aintree at the end of last season. Swashbuckle made mistakes on his hurdling at Catterick but wasn’t beaten far and will know more today. He won three times on the Flat and Donald McCain will find a race for him while Booyakasha is another likely improver.
