Verdict
Caraline came back to form with a nine-length success at Wetherby but her ability to stay this far has to be taken on trust, especially as all-the-way Catterick winner Ramonex is likely to make this a true test. Katachenko almost upset the in-form Play The Ace at Aintree on his reappearance but, not for the first time, didn’t appear to relish a battle and he’s never won off a mark this high. TAKINGRISKS is two from two around here and his yard won this last year. He’ll strip fitter for a second at Doncaster when giving weight to an improver. Un Guet Apens might improve for the fitting of blinkers but it’s harder to make a case for Irish raider No No Mac and Nick Alexander’s pair.
