Verdict

Latin Connection should be approaching peak fitness now and is no forlorn hope in this, despite top weight. Sophonie won at Uttoxeter last month but ROS CASTLE, who got off the mark at Ayr last time, has more scope and also makes more appeal than Catterick scorer Endeavor. Rose Dobbin's six-year-old gets the vote though Talkin Sence should find a small race somewhere soon and Scales is a lot better than he showed on his latest start at Uttoxeter. Ravi River and Prince Blackthorn have become disappointing, however, so Funky Munky looks more of a danger if reproducing the form of his second at Catterick two runs ago.
