Verdict

Tidal Watch would surely have won at Newton Abbot had he jumped the last but has been raised 7lb. Theflyingportrait is now 5lb lower than when successful at Wetherby last November and has won his fair share down the years. It will be interesting to see how Sporting Press fares in this grade this season but Ardera Cross’ winning run came to an end here last week and he may be high enough in the weights now. BALLYVIC BORU was placed off this mark at Southwell and Market Rasen in May. A course and distance winner earlier, he possibly found 2m5f too far when favourite at Cartmel when last seen and should have benefited from a break.
