UNION ROSE looks to have strong claims of landing a hat-trick, despite carrying 4lb extra for last week’s course and distance success. Ron Harris’ charge won with a bit to spare on that occasion and a line through the runner-up gives him the beating of Gnaad. The latter finished runner-up here on his penultimate start and finished in front of Joegogo when placed at Salisbury before that.
