    Verdict

A small but competitive field go to post for this chase and the TEAMTALK selection is Nephite. The gelding from the Norman Mason yard is well weighted on his best form and showed signs of a revival last time out when third behind Del Trotter at Sedgefield. The eight-year old also has form over longer trips and on similar ground. Lauderdale rates the main danger he seemed to have put his jumping problems behind him when second behind Man Murphy here last time that form has since been franked and if stays on his feet he is a danger to all. Kimdaloo has been in fine form all season but he ran as if the handicapper had caught up with him when fourth last time out. How Ran On looks the improver in the field he has won two small races in good style of late and although he is going up the weights and this looks more competitive. He could go well at a fair price as he is sure to cope with the ground. Harem Scarem would have a chance on his latest second behind El Cordobes but his best form is on faster ground. Looking Deadly needs to improve.
