Verdict

Over The Hill is confidently expected to rattle up his hat-rick and is the TEAMTALK selection. The gelding by Over The River has shown his liking for these conditions notably when an easy winner last time out at Sedgefield when he defeated Blue Irish with more in hand than the winning margin suggests and although he is rising in the weights the very capable Tom Siddall takes off a handy three pounds. Harry Hooly was behind Over The Hill last time out and is a lot better off at the weights. However Over The Hill appears to have more scope for improvement. Spoof will love the ground but he has become disappointing and may be in the handicappers grip at present. Brian James appeared not to take to fences last time and will be more suited for the return tom hurdles but he to looks weighted to the hilt. Gimme Shelter could go well off his feather weight but he looks a very doubtful stayer having weakened two out when third behind Hirt Lodge over a shorter trip last time out. Mr Christie is well in on his best form but has two ways of running. Savannah Mo may need another run before he is fully tuned up.
