In depth

Verdict

Mighty Thunder might have been a bit fortunate to win a maiden over 2m6f here though he was staying on and looks a decent stayer in the making so today's trip will suit. Too Many Chiefs is a strong stayer who has won six times including at Catterick last month but generally does best with plenty of cut in the ground. ARTHURS SECRET, four times a winner on the Flat, has only won once over hurdles and that was four years ago but he's been placed on numerous occasions including in better company and can double his score. Landecker won this last year from 6lb higher and he's well in with his rider's claim to help though that was on heavy going so he could do with some rain. Justatenner looks the main threat as he was in cracking form last summer on this sort of ground and has been competing at a higher level subsequently.
