In depth

Verdict

Another difficult contest to unravel but Strong Flow has shown plenty of ability so far and is taken to expand upon his progressive profile at the main expense of The Rile and Eau De Cologne. The Paul Nicholls team have a strong record with horses of this type and, considering that Strong Flow had only raced twice before getting the better of Stromness at Worcester earlier in the month, he can only benefit from this experience. He has bags of stamina and a willing attitude, so can be confidently expected to go close again this evening. The Rile is also going the right way and is sure to make a further impact in the north before too long, but he has been done for toe on a couple of occasions and may have to concede second best here. Eau De Cologne is in good form at present and should not be underestimated. But he does appear to have a stiff test ahead of him off top weight against some unexposed rivals. Aegean has the stamina for a contest of this nature and gets in off a nice racing weight for the each way backers to consider.
