Verdict

Culcabock, Turbo and Brooklyn Brownie form the shortlist in this handicap hurdle and the vote is given to Turbo. The selection finished down the field at Market Rasen last time but he had previously run well when second behind Fisby at the same track, and although he is far from straightforward he looks the percentage call. Culcabock won over this course and distance last time when he beat Silver Sedge. A reproduction of that effort would see him competitive today, but his overall strike-rate is not good and he could be worth opposing. Brooklyn Brownie was disappointing over fences last time but he is better in this sphere and he does have the fast ground that he likes so he is not without hope. Harry Flashman is another that has been running well and he looks to have decent each-way prospects. However, Turbo might just have the acceleration to get his head in front.
