Verdict
LIFE AND SOUL bids for a hat-trick and looks the one to beat. He followed up his Wetherby success with an even better effort at Aintree last week and Donald McCain's charge can shrug off a 7lb rise. Lone Foot Laddie unseated last time but had scored at Perth before that and looks the biggest danger to the selection ahead of Potomac, who finished runner-up here last month. The remainder have shown no worthwhile form so far but Fling Me has been placed in bumpers and should do better over timber in time.
