In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Brave Vision, Classic Event, Sovereign State and Thoutmosis and the narrow vote is given to Classic Event. The selection won well last time out when beating Spring Breeze with plenty in hand and although he has a penalty for that win he still looks ahead of the handicapper and he will be hard to beat. Brave Vision rates the main danger but he has risen sharply in the weights of late and his best form is on a much softer surface and at likely odds he looks worth opposing. Sovereign State is another with place claims on his latest win over De Blanc but this is much more competitive and he may struggle under his penalty. Thoutmosis is another that could go well but he looked in trouble when falling last time out and he is another that is weighted up to his best. Of the remainder Mazzareme is from a yard in form and was a fair second last time out so should be noted in the market, the same comment applies to Donovan who has dropped to a handy mark but for the winner we return to Classic Event.
