Verdict
Absolute Blast has decent claims on her recent third in the Winter Derby. Fire Fighting is another to consider having gone close in a stakes race at Dundalk just last week but Sovereign Debt has something to prove over today’s longer trip on his debut for Ruth Carr having won in Qatar in February. VIREN’S ARMY beat the other Godolphin runner, Linguistic, in the Dee Stakes at Chester last year when trained by Richard Hannon. He arrives for this on the back of winning a tough handicap at Meydan and may porve good enough in this. A Group 3 winner in Italy, Poeta Diletto is hard to assess having his first start for Marco Botti.
