    Verdict

Benandonner can come good at the expense of Musical Echo, Jomus and Out For A Stroll. Benandonner has been placed on each of his last three outings, most recently when outbattled by Mcnairobi on Lingfield's Polytrack surface. The third horse was five lengths away, so the form may not be that bad. When you consider that he did not see the racecourse until May, Ed Dunlop's gelding is open to further improvement, perhaps enough to land the spoils here. Musical Echo bids to defy a 6lb penalty for her win here over 10 furlongs nine days ago, but should not be inconvenienced by the drop back in trip based on her style of running, and she looks a main threat. Jomus has been beaten narrowly on each of his last two outings over the course-and-distance, but has not won since gaining his sole success in 2004. Out For A Stroll makes a quick reappearance after being beaten on softish ground at Epsom four days ago, and any support in the ring for him would be significant given his connections. However, Benandonner can improve again to open his account.
