Verdict
Mandy's Hero has the beating of Watts Up Son judged on her defeat of Mr Optimistic here in January, but she'd earlier fallen victim to Quality Art, who has since gone close at Bath and can figure in this. Palais Glide spoilt her chance with a show of temperament in the stalls at Nottingham and did well to finish second after a slow start, but the vote goes to FAIR VALUE. Simon Dow's filly showed a big improvement on her reappearance in March when running out an impressive winner at Lingfield and there should be plenty more to come on only her third start and handicap debut.
