In depth

Verdict

ADMIRAL COCHRANE is fancied to complete the hat-trick here at the main expense of Yer Woman and Craicattack. Plenty of in-form performers here, not least the selection who is unbeaten this year. He is now 15lb higher than the first win at Lingfield but he won with such authority here last time for Joe Fanning that he may be hard to beat once again. Yer Woman's form last season was a bit patchy but she did sign off with a good win here and if she lasts home over this longer trip then she shouldn't be far away. Amary needs a market check on this handicap debut as she drops down from Group Three level, Transfixed has been a regular fixture on the all-weather over the winter but lacks the class to feature here one would think, whilst Little Perisher steps out of claiming grade today but is yet to win outside of that company. Green Earth is an unknown factor on this all-weather debut after a break but the yard do well with their second-season horses, whilst Craicattack was struggling off this mark before winning in claiming grade last time but is likely to struggle again unless that win has done wonders for his confidence. An open race, but Admiral Cochrane is taken to make it three-in-a-row.
