In depth

Verdict

Amanda Perrett has her string in good order and can pick up this modest handicap with the unexposed Perfect Reward, who is preferred to Chunky's Choice, who is respected but faces a stiff test under a 6lb penalty, and Spritza, who handles this track and has a fair chance off her current mark. The last named faces a slightly stiffer test than her previous visit to Kempton, when she emerged as a game winner in a driving finish. She needs everything to go her way tonight but is no forlorn hope. Another worth a mention is Little Carmela, who, like the selection, has further scope for improvement. However, Perfect Reward just edges the verdict as the more progressive type and, with for a yard in great form form, this looks like another opportunity for Jim Crowley to shine in the saddle when he gets the leg up for the ride aboard Perfect Reward.
