Verdict

Petitioner finished third behind Buzz, due to run in the previous race, over 1m3f here last time. West Coast Flyer won over 1m4f at the track recently while Rake's Progress also steps up in trip after going close here. Several return to action with a chance including 2m winner Piedita and Just In Time, progressive last year when landing a hat-trick over middle-distances. But PERCY’S WORD goes well fresh and was returning from a lay-off when scoring over course and distance in August. Simon Crisford’s charge has plenty of scope and gets a speculative vote in a wide-open contest.
