An uninspiring contest complicated by the fact that likely favourite Mocead Cappall was engaged yesterday at Hamilton. Warrior's Valley possibly has the best draw and was third last time at Redcar, though his Turf form doesn’t match his exploits on the all-weather. SCOUNDREL ran easily his best race at Redcar last month when fitted with cheekpieces. If the aids work a second time, Tim Easterby’s gelding may be the one to beat ahead of Leicester third Cardaw Lily. Corton Lass had excuses last time and would have a chance on her form at Hamilton last summer.
