In depth

Verdict

LIGHT HEART made the odds-on Society Queen work hard for victory at Ayr and is sure to be suited by the extra furlong here as he’s a half-brother to French Derby fourth Intellogent. Mark Johnston’s colt is preferred to the filly Beryl The Petal, though her debut third at Redcar is working out well and she is unlikely go down without a fight. Wee Jim and Barasti Dancer would need to improve on their respective introductions to get involved while Samantha James disappointed last time at Thirsk.
