    Verdict

Monsieur Lambrays failed to get involved at York when bidding for a hat-trick though had earlier beaten Mouriyani over 1m6f at Salisbury. The latter finished in front of previous winner High Wells when third at Newmarket while both Dance To Paris and Road To Paris get a change of headgear with the latter returning to 2m representing last year’s winning yard. Pianissimo was a long way behind the winner when runner-up here but CARNWENNAN was beaten only a neck when last racing over course and distance in February. Well beaten in higher-grade contests since returning to action, he gets another chance back at this level.
