Verdict

Vitare won a novices race over 5f at Catterick and makes his handicap debut but Clever Candy is preferred having scored over today’s trip at Salisbury. Little Red Socks has undergone a wind operation since placing at Wolverhampton and can figure but VILLAIN’S VOICE was beaten less than a length at Chelmsford despite only finishing fourth. That was his first outing as a gelding and, with further progress likely, Roger Varian’s charge gets the nod. Vitellius has yet to threaten but may improve now handicapping.
