Steal The Scene has yet to win over this trip but was staying on strongly over 7f at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day and is set to go up another 2lb next week. MAGIC MIRROR (NAP) can upset the apple cart, however, as she had to be pulled around a wall of horses when fourth here last time and was staying on best of all. A dual winner here in the autumn, she’s a fast-improving filly with more to offer. It would be no surprise if veteran Shifting Star had been freshened up by a short break while Big Bad Lol can build on a first-ever win at Wolverhampton, though is 7lb higher. Happy Escape and the returning Nature Boy might be the pick of the remainder.
