        Verdict

        Twice a winner over fences, Buck Mulligan returned to action with a victory over hurdles at Wincanton in January and there still looks more to come from him, but he may have trouble conceding weight to OASIS KNIGHT. A useful stayer on the Flat, the latter made a promising debut over hurdles for current connections when second at Newbury three weeks ago and can improve enough to take this. Araldur is a smart chaser at his best but three seconds in a row over hurdles suggests he's not as effective over the smaller obstacles. Recent C&D runner-up Oscar Papa looks best of the rest.
