        Verdict

        Bowerman made a promising start when narrowly beaten at Newcastle in November by the John Gosden-trained Stradivarius. That should give the latter handler some idea of the form and he runs BLUE ON BLUE, who disappointed at Newmarket in October but drops in class for his comeback. Hippocampus will likely finish closer having made a modest debut at Lingfield when ahead of The Raven Master while Ply is the first foal of a Listed winner and a newcomer to keep an eye on.
