    Verdict

ASCOT LIME can land the finale, ahead of Pinch of Salt and Ajhar. Sir Michael Stoute's colt won last time out at Sandown over nine furlongs, but was running on well to suggest the step up in trip won't be a problem. Being bottom weight could be a big advantage in a competitive contest. Pinch of Salt is the only course and distance winner, albeit nearly a year ago. Like the selection, he may be held up for the first mile or so. Ajhar has been off the track since April; a winner over a mile and a quarter at Newbury last year, Marcus Tregoinning's lightly-raced runner should certainly be fresh but gives weight away to all bar Pinch of Salt.
