A tough opener with a handful of recent winners competing off higher marks. The most recent are Foxtrot Alpha and Anjomarba, who both won on turf last time, while Abriachan is 5lb higher than when scoring over C&D in January. Woolston Ferry won here in May and looks to have a real chance off only a 3lb higher mark, while October's Lingfield winner Paphos looks another leading contender. However, a chance is taken on SURWAKI, who finished a creditable fifth at Lingfield on his return from a lengthy absence, is 6lb lower than his latest win and is partnered here by the talented claimer Charlie Bishop.
