Verdict

It could pay to stick with the progressive KING FERDINAND here. He won by three lengths eased down over C&D a week ago and Andrew Balding's charge can shrug off a 6lb penalty and follow up. Lord Of The Reins returns from a lay-off having won his last two starts at this track in April and should be thereabouts at the finish, while September's Haydock winner Squires Gate has solid claims with a recent comeback run at the same track under his belt. Dominium won his maiden here but hasn't raced since April last year, while Night Trade has gone back up 3lb for finishing second at Hamilton three weeks ago.
