Verdict

BROKEN MOON can land this contest, and is preferred to Hadron Collider and Keene's Day. The selection won well at Yarmouth last time out over a mile and three quarters, and tries this trip for the first time. She was staying on well though, and the trip shouldn't be a problem. James Fanshawe and George Baker both have excellent strike rates at the track. Hadron Collider won a lower grade contest here back in the summer, and again steps up to this distance for the first time. Usually involved at the business end, he was narrowly beaten at Salisbury in his last run. He's got plenty of weight in hand on most of his rivals, and is likely to be supported. Keene's Day showed promise last year, but has had just one run this year. That was a disappointing effort in a higher grade; the step down in class and up in trip could see a return to last year's form. But we'll side with Broken Moon.
