Verdict
Wintertide can give weight to Limerick Leader and Cockatoo Ridge, with Killers Fury worth noting. Wintertide has already been successful twice this season, showing with his latest victory at Wincanton that staying is his forte. The move up to three miles therefore will be very much in favour of Charlie Mann's eight-year-old who had the distinction of giving seven pounds and a beating to Intersky Falcon when landing his second bumper win at Musselburgh a few years ago. The main danger looks to be Limerick Leader who was fourth at Leicester when sporting blinkers for the first time. He is learning all the time and is another that will appreciate this stamina test. Cockatoo Ridge is a half-brother to Rooster Booster no less and although not in the same league, is more than capable of a few more successes. He is expected to make a bold bid for the frame, while Killers Fury is surely better than he has shown so far, given his connections. For the winner we return to Wintertide.
