      Verdict

Wind Chime has the assistance of Lisa Jones and is the pick ahead of Bi Polar, Ziet d'Alsace and Espada. Lisa Jones is more than a match for most of her male rivals, so will fancy her chances of beating all of the other girls in this apprentice contest. Wind Chime likes Kempton, having won here in the past, and although he is dropping back in trip after scoring at Warwick, should go well on the fast ground and lines up in more form than most. Bi Polar has topweight to overcome but was not beaten far at Folkestone and has won over the course and distance in the past. Ziet d'Alsace was just touched off by Franksalot at Brighton and is another to put on the short-list along with Espada, who although a shadow of his former self, is another course winner. City General has a bit more to do than when close up in a Yarmouth seller, and for the winner we return to Wind Chime.
