Verdict
A poor turn-out for this listed event where Top Seed looks capable of beating Le Tiss and Isidore Bonheur. Mick Channon's colt has been highly tried this season, he was only beaten four lengths by North Light in the Dante at York, and was then pitted against Blue Canario and company in the French Derby. He had a crack at two miles in the Queens Vase but could never get in a blow, today's trip could be ideal and he is a confident selection. Isidore Bonheur is stepping uop in trip today following some promising efforts in listed company, he is a son of Mtoto so may just be lacking in the stamina department. A bigger threat could be Le Tiss, who represents top handicap form having finished a close up fourth behind Admiral at Royal Ascot. Anousa and Bumptious make up the quintet and a they will not have to improve much to figure here, but Top Seed is on the very edge of group class and gets our vote.
