Verdict
Sentry has performed with distinction in some top handicaps this season and is taken to beat Teresa and High Point. John Gosden's gelding found the two and half miles at Ascot last time stretching his stamina, but had previously put up a gallant display at Haydock when chasing home Dancing Bay and Distant Prospect over four furlongs less. Teresa finished ahead of the selection at Ascot and had previously run a race full of promise when runner up in the Queens Prize at Kempton. With the stable now on the way back to form this one will be a major threat. High Point comes into the equation following an excellent effort at Kempton when finishing a close third behind Quedex, he should be fighting for a place, but he may have to drop a few pounds before he can return to winning ways. Charlie Egerton's Valance may do best of the others, but for the winner we return to Sentry.
